Automotive retailers are cutting executive pay and laying off or furloughing thousands of workers as U.S. auto sales plummet amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The coronavirus pandemic pushed Chipotle into "tough business situations, but we thought the right thing to do was step in and provide assistance," CEO Brian Niccol said.
"Never in the history of the IMF have we witnessed the world economy come to a standstill," said Kristalina Georgieva, managing director of the IMF, during a press conference on the pandemic.
The study concluded that people who spread the virus, despite feeling healthy, could pose a threat for disease control. Researchers said in some cases, they determined transmission exposure occurred one to three days before the source patient developed symptoms.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is holding a press conference on the coronavirus outbreak in the state, which has infected more than 25,500 people in the state as of Friday.
