'Reacher' blows up Lee Child's character to 'full size' for the smaller screen
"Reacher" is a simple creature, establishing one clear point of demarcation from Tom Cruise's "Jack Reacher" movies: Like the character in Lee Child's books (and unlike Cruise), this dude is really, really big. And in case you somehow didn't notice, that point is overtly made over and over, which naturally doesn't stop misguided thugs from testing their luck against him.

'The Tinder Swindler' is the kind of true crime that mostly just steals your time
"The Tinder Swindler" has the feel of those documentaries that Investigation Discovery seems to churn out at a breakneck pace, only it's getting additional traction thanks to a platform on Netflix. Combining the qualities of a Lifetime movie with a catchy title, the marketable elements scarcely mask that the story is actually kind of a bore.
'Murderville' should have been an 'SNL' sketch, not a series
The playful idea trumps the hit-miss execution in "Murderville," a semi-improvised comedy/murder-mystery that's every bit as odd and messy as that sounds. Will Arnett is the constant in this US version of a British format, which, in terms of the material's weightiness, occupies that vague space between a good "SNL" sketch and, when prolonged, a so-so series.
'Moonfall' knocks the disaster epic on an orbit into the ridiculous
"Moonfall" follows a familiar orbit into the ridiculous, as director Roland Emmerich's latest disaster epic is loud, fast-paced and untethered by logic, as well as gravity. While some might find it possible to have fun by surrendering to the silliness, this bad moon doesn't quite rise even to the level of a guilty pleasure.
