The First Trust Merger Arbitrage ETF is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 137,000 shares traded versus three month average volume of about 38,000. Shares of MARB were off about 0.2% on the day.

In trading on Wednesday, the Junior Gold Miners ETF is outperforming other ETFs, up about 4.7% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Endeavour Silver, up about 9.3% and shares of Gatos Silver, up about 9.2% on the day.

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the DIREXION DAILY STANDARD AND POORS 500 BEAR 3X, where 9,950,000 units were destroyed, or a 14.9% decrease week over week.

Comparing units outstanding versus one week ago at the coverage universe of ETFs at ETF Channel, the biggest inflow was seen in the DIREXION DAILY STANDARD AND POORS BIOTECH BULL 3X SHARES, which added 6,650,000 units, or a 4.1% increase week over week.
